Delivery & Collection Guide 🌿

At Ballantyne’s Nursery, we want getting your fresh, Midlothian-bred blooms home to be as smooth and mess-free as possible. We offer three flexible options to fit around your week:

🏡 1. Nursery Collection (Gorebridge)

Want to come see where the magic happens? You are more than welcome to collect your order directly from Robbie and Gillian at the greenhouse.

  • When: Everyday 9 to 5.
  • Ready Time: Orders are usually ready for collection within 24 hours.
  • How it works: Select "Local Pickup" and Gorebridge Location at checkout, and we will send you a confirmation email as soon as your order is packaged and waiting for you.

📦 2. Tuesday Evening Home Delivery

Prefer your plants brought straight to your doorstep? We run a dedicated local home delivery service every week to bring the greenhouse directly to you.

  • When: Every Tuesday.
  • Where: Across our local delivery zones in south and north Edinburgh, and locations along the City Bypass.
  • How: Simply enter your postcode at checkout to check availability for your area.

·        Cost: £7.00 delivery fee.

·        Minimum Order: £20.00

·        FREE Delivery: On all orders over £60.00

🚙 3. Edinburgh City Hub: FREE Friday Morning Pickups

  • When: Every Friday morning between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
  • Where: The Pitt (Granton).
  • How: Select "Local Pickup" and The Pitt Location at checkout
  • The Deadline: Order online by Thursday at 11:00 AM to guarantee your plants are loaded into the van for Friday morning.

📦 The Ballantyne Transit Guarantee: > Wondering how to get a heavy, blooming hanging basket home without ruining your car? We hand over all our baskets inside sturdy, mess-free cardboard transit crates. They sit perfectly upright and secure in your boot or footwell—no spills, no mud, just pure convenience.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I change my pickup location after ordering? A: If you need to switch from the Friday Hub to Nursery collection (or vice versa), please drop us a quick message at info@ballantynenursery.co.uk at least 24 hours before your scheduled slot, and we will gladly update your order.

Q: What if I am running late for the Friday Morning Hub? A: Because we operate within a strict 10am–12pm window to manage logistics, any orders not collected by 12:00 PM will be safely returned to the nursery for collection or rescheduled for the following week.
